Privacy promise
We take audio privacy seriously. Here's the exact technical reality — no marketing fluff.
Microphone stream never leaves the browser
Audio processing runs entirely locally in JavaScript via the WebAudio API. Volume is computed via RMS, pitch via autocorrelation — all in your browser process. We never upload audio, never store recordings, never share data with third parties. Audio permission is used only for the WebAudio API, not for getUserMedia recording.
With a free account, we additionally store your scores, XP, achievements and profile data in our EU-hosted SQLite database — GDPR-compliant, with full Article 20 data export and account deletion available at any time.

If your question isn't here, reach out via the imprint page.
What are Audio Games?
Audio Games are 12 classic browser games controlled with a microphone and the human voice instead of a keyboard or gamepad. Eight games respond to volume (blow, clap, speak, whisper — Whisper Heist inverts the mechanic), three to pitch (sing, hum), one combines both. A keyboard fallback is built in.
Is my audio data sent to a server?
No. Audio processing runs entirely in your browser via the WebAudio API. Microphone streams are never uploaded, stored, or transmitted to a server.
If you sign up, only scores, XP, achievements and profile data are stored server-side — no audio.
Do I need an account?
Three of the twelve games (Voice Cube, Voice Flyer, Beat Tapper) are playable instantly without an account. The other nine, plus global leaderboards, XP/level system, daily challenges, tournament mode, and friends feature, require a free sign-up.
Is it free?
Yes, all 12 games are permanently free. No in-app purchases, no third-party ads, no tracking cookies.
The layout contains four references to the developer webhoch.com (header, footer, banner, floating button).
Does it work on mobile?
Yes. Audio Games runs on every modern mobile browser with microphone access: iOS Safari 14.5+, current Android Chrome, Firefox Mobile.
The platform is also installable as a Progressive Web App.

Optimal: Chromium browsers (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera).
Fully functional: Firefox, Safari.
Not supported: Internet Explorer and browsers without WebAudio API.
Can I customize the resolution for LED walls?
Yes. Settings allow preset resolutions (480×720, 1080×1920, 4K) plus arbitrary custom dimensions. Suitable for LED walls, projectors in schools, trade-show installations.
Is Audio Games accessible?
Yes. Players without a microphone or with motor impairments can use full keyboard control: Space, arrows, W map to volume and pitch equivalents. UI uses semantic HTML, all buttons have aria-labels, contrast meets WCAG AA.
What is the Daily Challenge?
Every day, a game is picked deterministically via SHA-256(YYYY-MM-DD) mod gameCount as the "game of the day". All players get the same suggestion and compete on a separate daily leaderboard that resets at UTC midnight.
Who built Audio Games?
Audio Games is built by Webagentur Hochmeir e.U., a web agency based in Vienna, Austria. The platform demonstrates how far modern web technologies have come.
